The chief of staff
The office of the Chief of Staff is housed in The Presidency and tasked with the operational function of running governments business as delegated by the President. The Chief of Staff is the Chief Operating Officer of the government on behalf of the President
Mandate
The President as head of government is mandated by the constitution and the people of Ambazonia to deliver a prosperous, free and democratic nation to them.
To do this The President is tasked with forming a government for which he/she is accountable and responsible.
To operationalize the activities and running of the government, The President creates the Office of the Chief of Staff and delegates the operational running of the government to whosoever he appoints to man the office.
The President remains accountable for the delivery of his government while the Chief of Staff is accountable to The President for all operations that are delivered or to be delivered. If approved by The President the Office of Chief of Staff becomes first point of contact for all State Department business and communication to the entire public.
Responsibilities of the Chief of Staff
Develop an operational framework and working machinery for the government.
- Coordinate activities of government and prepare consolidated reports.
- Ensures compliance principle is upheld across all spheres of government
- Monitors and evaluates the work of government across all spheres
- Liaises with ministries to ensure proper inter departmental relations
- Sells the presidents mandate and creates a culture of ownership within the government.
- Puts in place public administration rules and regulations
- Puts in place a capacity building and skills development framework for government officials and ensures gaps are closed as indicated by Performance appraisal, M&E and other state Audit reports
- Runs and Coordinate activities in the Office of The President with the due approval of The President.
- Carries out all missions of the government as delegated by The President
