The office oversees and coordinates a comprehensive national strategy to safeguard Ambazonia against illegal occupation and administration of its internationally recognized territory, its people and resources by La Republique du Cameroun (LRC) and responds to any future attacks.

The DHS is a stand-alone, Cabinet-level department to further coordinate and unify national homeland security efforts, since February 12, 2018.

The DHS was created through the integration of all or part of different federal departments and agencies into a unified, integrated Department. To that end, the DHS is a more effective and integrated Department, creating a strengthened homeland security enterprise and a more secure Ambazonia that is better equipped to confront the range of threats we face.

Department’s Six-point Agenda.

A developed six-point agenda aligns the Department's policies, operations, and structures in the best way to address the potential threats – both present and future – that face our nation. The six-point agenda is structured to guide the department in the near term and result in changes that will:

1. Increase overall preparedness, particularly for catastrophic events
2. Create better transportation security systems to move people and cargo more securely and efficiently
3. Strengthen border security and interior enforcement and enhance immigration processes;
4. Enhance information sharing with agencies and departments as well as our partners
5. Improve DHS financial management, human resource development, procurement and information technology
6. Realign the DHS organization to maximize mission performance.
